Sylvia Cook Hoggle went home to Jesus on January 15, 2022 at age 82.

Sylvia was born to Ervin and Myrtle Cook on December 28, 1939 in Shelby County, Alabama.

Sylvia married her husband, Mervin Hoggle on August 11, 1960 and went on to have two children, Patricia and Ervin(Bo).

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Sylvia also loved working in her garden, staying active by caring for elderly in her community, and cooking for the whole community. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.

Sylvia joins her parents, Ervin and Myrtle Cook and her daughter, Patricia Ann McCray, in Heaven. She is survived by her husband,Mervin, her son, Bo (Aimee), her son in law, Kent(Vicki, Olivia, and Seth) her grandchildren, Taylor, Abby, and Haley and adopted family, John and Cindy Brown, Justin, Constance, and Truman Roller, Pam Smith, and Steve and Karen Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Smith, Seth McCray, Kent McCray, JC Hoggle, Billy Stokes, and John Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Concord Baptist Church members, Lorrine and Levell Hoggle, Lillie Duncan, and other family and friends.

Her graveside service will be held at Concord Cemetery on January 19, 2022 at 11:00 am with Rev. Wyatt Rhone and Rev. Jason Duckett officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing.
