Sue Morrow

Sue Colburn Morrow passed away at Hospice of West Alabama on February 4, 2021.  She was born in Tuscaloosa on February 13, 1941.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert D. and Nettie C. Colburn, brothers, Robert Earl Colburn, Edward Colburn, and Leonard Colburn and sisters, Jean Stone and Helen Chrispell.

Survivors include her sister, Mary C. Wheeler, sister-in-law, Bobbie Colburn, and many nieces and nephews.

Sue graduated from Tuscaloosa High School and received a bachelor’s degree in education from The University of Alabama.  She taught English at Tuscaloosa High School/Central High School until her retirement.  She was also the faculty yearbook advisor.  Sue was an avid reader, enjoyed participating in a senior choir, and loved University of Alabama sporting events.  She has been a member of First Wesleyan Church since childhood, where she enjoyed life-long friends through her circle group and many years of singing in the church choir.  The family appreciates the loving care she received from Hospice of West Alabama in her last days.

Interment will be handled by Magnolia Chapel Funeral Homes with immediate family.
