Rebecca Moore Strickland, age 75, passed away peacefully and joined her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ while under care at Hospice of West Alabama in the early hours of November 26, 2022. She was born on March 11, 1947.
Services will be held at Sulphur Springs FWB Church on Friday, December 2, 2022 with visitation from 10-11a.m. with funeral at 11:00 a.m. and burial to follow the service. Bro. Rick Taylor will officiate with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing.
She was preceded in death by husbands Jimmy Moore and Justin Strickland, parents Ambus and Wilma Jones, brother Phillip Jones, and daughter-in-law Rachael Moore.
She is survived by sons Jeff (Amy) Moore and Steve (Jamie) Moore, grandchildren Jeremy (Stephanie) Moore, Kyler Moore, Crystal (Craig) Woods, Chris Wilkins, Stormie Cook, and Ashlyn Cook sister Sharon Logan, brother Johnny Jones, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was a lifetime member of Sulphur Springs FWBC where she played piano, organ, and sung beautifully. Rebecca was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many and will be greatly missed by many family members, friends, loved ones, and people from the Samantha community.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Christian, Donnie Hallman, Ricky Hitt, Darrol Jones, John Walker, Mike Woods, and Joe Yerby.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sulphur Springs FWB cemetery fund.
