Ramona Walker

Ramona Hamner Walker, age 89, of Northport, AL, born Feb. 25, 1932 went to be with the Lord July 12, 2021. Services will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Carrolls Creek Baptist Church at 11:00 am with visitation at 10:00 am, Pastors Randy Pate and Alan Roggli officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence E. Walker; parents, William Trimm Hamner and Annie Velma Rice Hamner; brothers, Max Hamner, Donald Hamner, Alton Hamner, Wayne Hamner, and Hoyt Hamner; and sisters, Carol Tucker and Nita Taylor.


She is survived by daughters, Shelley Perdue (Jim), Jenny Hudson (Tommy) and Penny Pate (Randy); grandchildren, Leah Blackwell (Vollie), Josh Perdue (Cori),Todd Hudson (Joni), Tyler Hudson (Kensey), Katie Hinson (Drew) and Wesley Pate; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Jones, Isabella Jones, Alexandra Jones, Timothy Blackwell , Elijah Perdue, Noah Perdue, Luke Perdue, Lily Perdue, Ella Grace Hudson, Anna Kate Hudson and Libby Thomas Hudson; brother-in-law, John E. Walker (Martha); sisters-in-law, Janie Hamner, Sarah Hamner, Sue Hamner and Hazel Hamner; and much loved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Josh Perdue, Todd Hudson, Tyler Hudson, Wesley Pate and Drew Hinson; great-grandsons, Jeremiah Jones, Timothy Blackwell, Elijah Perdue, Noah Perdue and Luke Perdue. Honorary Pallbearers are Bro. Don Springer, James Elmore, Harold Whitt, Margaret Blankenship, Sue Faulkner, Peggy Boyd and CCBC family.

Ramona was a Proverbs 31 woman, looking well to the needs of her household which included all the precious people of a large extended family, many friends and church family; Prayer and God's Word were her comfort and rule of life. She and her husband Clarence had a true love relationship until the day he died, June 21, 2020. Her joyful anticipation was to see him again as she was taken into the arms of Jesus. "In God's presence is fullness of joy" for those who love Him. She was a strong woman who loved strongly and taught us how to love others. Prov. 31:31 " ...Let her works praise her."
