Ollie Walker

Ollie Robinson Walker, age 90 of Moundville, passed away September 5, 2019, at Moundville Health and Rehab. Services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019, at 11:00 am at Moundville United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Robinson and Rev. Michael Cobb officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel South directing. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Monday at the church.

Survivors include her children; Mike Robinson (late wife Karen Robinson), Patty Hartley (Buster), Ginger Thomas, Jack Robinson (Debra), grandchildren; Josh Robinson (Britt), Nathan Robinson, Melissa Payne (Doug), Matt Hartley (Chera), April Marcum, Jenna Corley, Bret Robinson (Emily), Jessica Robinson, Erin Martin and Lauren Brown (Chase). 14 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren.

Ollie was born in 1929 in Alabama to a coal mining family. She married Charles R. Robinson in 1947, and they moved to Moundville in 1965. She was employed by Moundville Mercantile for many years and retired to be a homemaker and loving grandmother. After her first husband passed away, she later married George Walker, and they remained married until his death. She loved gardening, planting flowers, reading, birdwatching, and her family. She was a member of the Moundville United Methodist Church. Memaw enjoyed going to the beauty shop and was the true definition of a ” southern lady”. To the employees and staff of Moundville Health and Rehab and the office of Dr. Larry Skelton, ” Thank You” for your love and care.

Pallbearers will be Matt Hartley, Josh Robinson, Nathan Robinson, Doug Payne, Ridge Payne, and Howell Poole.
