Maxine Sulser

Maxine Sulser, age 84 of Tuscaloosa, passed away on July 17, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama  A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Greensboro at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 22, 2021 with Rev. Royal Thomas, Rev. Steve Vernon, and Rev. William Snider officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00 am at the cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Sulser, son; Thomas E. Sulser, Jr., mother; Lillian Mae Daniel, father; Howard Glen Lambert, siblings; Kenneth Lambert, Bill Lambert, and Clara Langford.

Survivors include her daughters; Juanita Harrison (Joe), Carolyn Thomas (Royal), Beverly Heartsill (David), nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter on the way.

Maxine was born in Uriah, Alabama. She graduated from high school and went on to graduate from college in California. She met the love of her life upon returning to Alabama. They were married April 21, 1957.  God blessed their marriage with three girls and one son. Most of her life she was a teacher at Stanton Christian School and her influence on their lives still lives on today. She loved to sew and cook . Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Pallbearers will be Chris Aultman, Stephen Harrison, Scott Harrison, Jeremy Atchison, Austin Tubbs, Morgan Jones, Eddie Thomas, John Heartsill, Brenton Haynie.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Scott Fulgham, Dr. Russell Ulrich, a special thanks to Hospice of West Alabama for their phenomenal care and service.

The family will be accepting flowers or you can make donations to Hospice of West Alabama.
