Martha George

Martha Jean George, age 74 of Moundville, passed away September 16, 2021 at Moundville Health and Rehab. A 1:00 pm graveside service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery in Akron with Bro. Gene Dockery officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J Hope and Mattie Jean Martin, and her brother Robert Kenneth Martin.

Survivors include her husband, Wilford P. "Buck" George, daughters; Cherie Bunn (William), Mary Catherine McGilberry (Todd), son; Roger M. George (Linsday), sister; Brenda Pope (Barry), brother; Dan T. Harper, grandchildren; Zack Mott (Mary Kay), Cailin Martin (Matthew), Grace Bunn, Colton McGilberry (Ryanna), Jaye George, Jorja McGilberry, Julie George, Southern George, Clementine George, Remmington George and Monroe George., five great grandchildren, son-in-law Jeff Mott, and lifetime friends, J.L and Janie Guinn.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Burge, Taylor Dunklin, Craig Daniels, John Barton, Brent Collins, Mac McKinney, Joey Christian, Arthur Hartley, Jr.
