Mark Eugene Strayer passed away peacefully at home, December 25, 2020. Born in Dayton, Ohio February 6, 1953 to Byron and Sue Strayer, he was a Quality Manager and Quality Supervisor for General Motors and Delphi in Ohio and overseas for over thirty years until Delphi transferred him to Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 2007.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Brewer Strayer, Tuscaloosa, AL, his son, Douglas Strayer, Denver, CO, his daughter Constance McCleese (Jeff), Hamilton, OH, his parents Byron and Sue Strayer, Germantown, OH, his brother Kirby Strayer (Cindy), Germantown, OH, his sister Vicki Dursh (Dave), Germantown OH, and his granddaughters Calista Jaekel, Hamilton, OH and Lena Strayer Colorado Springs, CO. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all.
There will be a virtual memorial celebration of his life on January 2, 2020 at 11 Am CST at Grace Presbyterian Church with the Dr. Oscar Neil McCarter officiating. The zoom link will be provide later in the week on the Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home, 6100 Old Greensboro Road, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 35405 website.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 35404.
