Johnny Corkerin

Johnny Reese Corkerin age 42 of Brookwood, Alabama passed away on February 9, 2021. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Magnolia Chapel South, 2:00 p.m with Brother L.D. Armstrong officiating.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Jessie Reese Corkerin, Mary Pauline Gray Corkerin, Annie Lou Parker Glasgow and VJ Glasgow; uncles Robert Corkerin and Wayne Glasgow.
He is survived by spouse, Maria Corkerin; daughter, Cheyenne Gano; sons, Colton Corkerin, Ashton Corkerin, Dylan Zalewski and Chris Gano; parents Vergie and Calvin Corkerin.

Johnny was a wonderful husband and father. He loved hiking, camping, backpacking and just being outdoors. He was a huge Alabama football fan and was a very hands on dad and even coached his youngest son's football team. He worked for GMS and was a coal miner at Warrior Met. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched but he will live on in all of our hearts.
