Donna Mcnamara

Donna May (Sarver) McNamara of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, formerly of Pecatonica, Illinois, died on October 4, 2022. Donna was born on May 19th, 1930 in Freeport IL, the daughter of Rayme and Irene (Fortner) Sarver. Donna attended school in Pecatonica, Illinois, graduating from Pecatonica High School in 1943.

Donna married Robert "Pete" Timothy McNamara Jr. on January 17th 1948 in Durand, Illinois. They lived in Shirland, Illinois before settling on a farm in Pecatinica, Illinois. Donna and Pete were married for 72 years.

Donna graduated from Rock Valley LPN school in 1978 and Highland Community College RN school in Freeport IL in 1983. She worked as a nurse at Rockford Memorial Hospital until her retirement.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her parents. She is survived by her brother Richard (Dixie) Sarver; her son Michael (Sue) McNamara of Dublin Ohio; daughters Michelle (Frank Johnson) McNamara Vestavia Hills, Alabama; Jacalyn (Del) Tippey of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; six grandchildren, Tracy (Matt) Hamilton; David (Anna Dounce) McNamara; Andy (Mallory Kemp) Tippey, Katie (Carl Reid) Tippey, Kristy (Andreas Herklotz) Tippey; Jeffrey Herdman; four great grandsons, Westphal, Solomon, Campbell Hamilton; Charlie Alexander McNamara; Robert Timothy Tippey.

And a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
