Carroll Brown

Carroll Burroughs Whitfield Brown, age 71 of Moundville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 7, 2022. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at Big Sandy Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Sellers and Pastor Tim Baumgarten officiating. A private burial will follow.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Floyd Jr. and Ima Burroughs, her husband Roger Brown and brother Cecil Burroughs.

Carroll is survived by her daughter, Miranda Sampsell (Andrew), sister; Sandra Boswell, brothers; Jay Burroughs (Mary) and Phil Burroughs (Patti), grandson; Caleb Sampsell and many nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord with all her heart and Carroll loved her grandson , Caleb. She had many friends and family that she dearly loved and always talked about the Lord with them.

Pallbearers will be Phil Burroughs, Jedadiah Burroughs, Caleb Sampsell, David Mills, Keith Davis, and Lanier Jones.

Honorary pallbearers are the Ladies Sunday School Class at Big Sandy Baptist Church, Northport Freewill Baptist Church, Richard Boswell, Judy Tillman and the Cancer Care Center of Tuscaloosa.
