Carl Ryan

Carl Herbert Ryan, Sr., age 87 of Foley, Alabama passed away on August 14, 2019.

Carl was a loyal husband, proud dad and Papaw. He loved gardening, Alabama football and his sweet dog, Polly. He was most proud of his service in the United States Army, having served from January 1952 to January 1953 with the 40th Infantry Division in Korea and honorably discharged on December 17, 1954, as a Corporal.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife; Betty Ryan, mother; Ada, father; Fetus and four brothers; O'Neal, Roy, Adron and A.J.

He is survived by his daughter; Carolyn Jean Kizziah and husband, Alvie of Foley, Alabama, sons; Johnny Mack Ryan and his spouse, Sandy of Samantha, AL, Carly Herbert Ryan, Jr. (Pete) of Brookwood, AL and Archie Mae Ryan Willingham of Cottondale, AL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stacy Jean Avery and her spouse Brian of Foley, AL, Casey Marie Jackson of Foley, AL and Shawn Ryan and his wife Amanda of Sharpsburg, GA; great grandchildren; Samantha, Sayer, Emmarie, Tanner, Eric, Meagan and Paige.

A graveside service will at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Little Hurricane Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Rick Davis officiating.
