Brian Carl Davis, age 67 of Northport, passed away January 12, 2022 at home. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Magnolia Chapel North from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
Brian left an impression everywhere he went, never meeting a stranger, making it impossible to resist his corny humor and biting wit. He made it his personal mission to be the funny guy, making others smile and feel comfortable.
He was a history buff, avid reader, loved traveling, as well as a tireless debater who always managed the last word. He was a jack of all trades and possessed an endless fascination with tinkering -taking things apart and (fingers crossed) fixing things.
Brian was so many things to so many people who knew him and we are all better for having been loved and charmed by the “funniest guy” in the room.
Brian was husband to Mary Ann Davis whom he loved with his whole heart, often remarking “She’s the best thing that ever happened to me, she saved me. ” He was a protective and involved father and stepfather to Kelly Bachus (Stuart), Lee Ann Greene (Kevin), and Michael Damico (Stacy). He was the fun loving, goofy grandfather to Charlotte Bachus, Kamryn and Kylee Damico, MaryClaire, Mady, Mason, and his “little buddy” Miller Greene (Courtney) inspiring their giggles with funny faces, always making it clear how much he loved them. He was a caring brother to Karen Foss (Harry), Barry Davis (Kathy), and Kristie Scott (Keith). He is survived by nieces and nephews whom he loved as if they were his own. Many other family, friends, plus the loyal friendships he maintained with his Birmingham Police Department family throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to your favorite charity. They also request for you to dress casual and comfortable for the visitation as that would be Brian's wishes.
