Ann Freeman Terry, 88, of Moundville, AL, passed away on April 8, 2022 in Atlanta, Ga. Graveside services will be 11 AM on April 16, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville, AL. UMC pastor Eric England, of Moundville UMC will officiate at Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Magnolia Chapel South of Tuscaloosa, AL. Flowers may be sent there.

Ann Freeman Terry was born in Lebanon, TN to John Rich Freeman and Ida Bryan Freeman on March 5, 1934. She married Tom Terry at South Brookley UMC, Mobile, AL. She graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, TN. She graduated from University of South Alabama with honors and a degree in Elementary Education. She worked until retirement as a Elementary Education teacher for the Hale County School system while her husband, Tom Terry was UMC pastor in Moundville. She received many honors and much love as a teacher and was a Teacher of the Year there.

Ann Terry is preceded in death by her first spouse, Bob McGwier and Tom Terry, spouse; John Bryan Freeman, her brother; John Rich Freeman, her father and Ida Mae Blankenship, her mother.

Ann is survived by sons: Robert McGwier (Sharon), Michael McGwier (Susan), Bryan McGwier (Candace), James Terry (Connie), and Hugh Terry (Phoebe) . Grandchildren: Tommy Swinson Terry, Rebecca Terry Buitendijk, Reid McGwier West, Christopher O'Bryant, Cody O'Bryant, John McGwier, Patrick McGwier, Meghan McGwier, Natalie McGwier, Monica McGwier, Aimee Finney, Sarah Hicks, Shelby West, Chelsey Crawford and many great-grandchildren.
