Allen Dalrymple

Allen Dalrymple, age 67, of Samantha, Ala., passed away April 3, 2022 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church in New Lexington, Ala. with Rev. Clyde Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Evelyn Dalrymple; brothers, Jimmy Lee, Billy, and Donald Dalrymple; and sisters, Doris Smith, Helen Stough, and Margie Lloyd.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbi Boone Dalrymple; daughters, Amy Stone (Stacy), Lori Blake (JD), Anna Dalrymple, and Kaylee Dalrymple; sister, Bonnie Rich; brother, Terry Dalrymple (Ginger); grandchildren, Davis Stone, Dawson Stone, Camille Calvillo, Amelia Blake, Maverick Blake, and Emma Jo Calvillo.

Allen Dalrymple was born and raised in the Anniston, Alabama area.  He was loved by many and maintained strong personal relationships with his fellow classmates from Saks High School.  He was a retiree of Sears Roebuck and Co. and spent the last 10 years of his life in the Samantha community in Tuscaloosa County with his wife of 44 years, Bobbi.

He was a great father to his four daughters and a loving “Paw Paw” to six wonderful grandchildren.

Allen had a great relationship with his father-in-law, B. E. “Skeet” Boone, and they shared many similar interests.  Over the years, they developed a strong bond that evolved into a father/son relationship.

On April 3, 2022 after a long battle with cancer he left his earthly home to live eternally in heaven.

Pallbearers will be Tony Dalrymple, Terry Dalrymple, Dennis Hinton, JD Blake, Steve Chandler, Stacy Stone, Benjamin Hinton, and Greg Rich.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. David Hinton, Skeet Boone and Glenn Toney.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 13481 Shiver deFreeze Road, Berry, AL 35546.
