Wilhelmina Sims Matherson

Wilhelmina Sims Matherson passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2025 at the age of 89. She was born August 4, 1935.

Wilhelmina was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Gladys Sims; infant daughter Paula Lee Matherson; and special friend Therman Tingle.

She is survived by her son, Zach Matherson; granddaughter, Adrian (Tyler) Mulling; daughter-in-love, Allison Barker; sister, Betty (David) Seale; brother, Langford (Jackie) Sims; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wilhelmina was a strong southern lady who loved her family and friends fiercely and served them faithfully. We love her dearly and will miss her greatly. We are comforted to know that she is waiting for us in Heaven with our Savior and Lord, Jesus.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday June 25, 2025 at 10:00 am at Havana United Methodist Church in Havana, AL.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Mulling, Keith Seale, Mark Seale, Andrew Skelton, Jeff Fox, and James Michael Langford.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Wilhelmina's memory to ACG Hospice or Skyland Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, AL.
