Vernon Steward

Vernon Steward, 61, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his father Vernon Allen Steward, sister; Barbara Gail Lovell and his in-laws; Henry and Catherine LeBourgeois.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pam, daughter; Brittney, son; Chris (Allison) grandchildren; Shayley, Casen, Easton, Lakelynn, and Brooklynn, mother; Betty Bowen, brother; Bubba (Becky), brother-in -laws; Henry (Janice), and Michael LeBourgeois, neices and nephews; Bradley, Amanda, Alex and Davis and his pup Little Man.

Vernon was a long time employee of 35 years at Flowers Bakery Company. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. One of his greatest joys was that he was able to share his skills with his son Chris, who was able to share with many of his friends and now his son Easton.

It was Vernon's wish not to have a service, but continue to pray for his family. You can reach out to any of them via Facebook, except his wife Pam who has not made that jump into technology.
