Thomas Oswalt

Thomas Leldan Oswalt, age 67, of Northport, Alabama, passed away March 9, 2024 at his residence. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, at Jennings Chapel Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Jenning Chapel Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

He was predeceased by his father, Edison Oswalt; mother, Elizabeth Shirley Oswalt; and adored wife, Melinda Oswalt.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Oswalt; daughters, Jade Jorgenson and Leif Cole; brothers, Jeffrey Oswalt and Eddie Oswalt; sister, Michele Lewis; nephew, Clayton Jones; and beloved like a son, Jared Simerly.

Thomas was a dedicated employee of Hanna Steel for over thirty years. Comic books and music were lifelong passions. There were many deep discussions about who would win, between Batman and Superman. He liked to laugh and enjoyed sarcastic humor. Luckily for his animal loving family, he never objected when a new pet found his home.
