Susan Rebecca Adkins

Susan Rebecca Adkins, age 64, tragically passed away the 9th of July 2023. She was a dedicated wife, mother, Granny, and daughter.  

Becky, as she was commonly known, was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on January 6, 1959, and grew up in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was the only child and was brought up by Godly parents in a loving, Christian home. Becky was a 1977 graduate from Tuscaloosa High School. She was in retail management for 30+ years around the Tuscaloosa/ Northport area. She had a contagious smile and laugh. She loved to share her faith and Jesus with everyone she met. She will greatly missed by all who knew her, but we are so joyful she is free of pain and rejoicing in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all eternity. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Sue Bonner Lollar. 

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jack Adkins; her two children: Christopher (Rachel) Cherry and Katie Sue Hubbert; her 6 grandchildren: Summer, Thatcher, Tristen, Zoey, Charlie Grace, Bentley, and Harley; her 2 great-grandchildren: Nevaeh and Aubrey; her 3 stepchildren: Jackie Adkins, Steven Adkins, and Jessica Marcum; her 6 step grandchildren: Austin, Danielle, Olivia, Josh, Nate, and Brian; her father and stepmother: Charlie W. Lollar and Lynda Lollar; her stepsibling: Jessica Ireland, Becky Daley, and Mike McLemore. 

A visitation will be held at Mercedes Drive Church of Christ, 17303 US HWY 11 Vance, AL 35490 on Thursday July 13th from 9:00 AM to 10 AM with funeral service to begin at 10 AM with Bro. Doug Milligan and Bro. Matt Jones officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Graveside service will be held following at Greenhill Memorial Gardens, 21425 Highway 82 Reform, AL 35481.  

Pallbearers will be Caleb Odom, David Harbin, Jay Waldrop, Barry Sloan, John Sloan, and Scott Sloan. In lieu of flowers please donate to Mercedes Drive Church of Christ Missionary Fund.
