Sue Andrews, age 65, passed away peacefully at her home on October 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Evergreen Baptist Church followed by her Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Ben Rodriguez officiating.
Born on October 1, 1960, in Atlanta, Georgia, Sue was a woman of boundless creativity. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Katherine Andrews, and her brother, Bobby Andrews.
As a child, Sue cherished spending time at the racetrack with her father - a memory that remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Sue was a gifted seamstress, known for her incredible talent and determination. In the 1990s, she proudly crafted all the flags and uniforms for the Alabama Million Dollar Band, a point of pride that highlighted her unmatched skill and dedication. There was truly nothing she couldn't figure out or make.
Later in life, Sue became a school bus driver, a role she embraced with joy. She formed lasting bonds with the children she transported and took great pride in keeping them safe each day.
Above all, Sue devoted her life to her four children. She loved going to the beach, the movies, out to dinner and watching Alabama football with Don. She greeted everyone she met - friend or stranger - with her signature phrase: "Roll Tide!" She was a true spitfire and everyone that ever met her knew this to be true.
She is survived by her devoted long-time companion, Don Pearson; daughters Brooke Starnes, Brandi Price (Daniel), Hope Lee (Hunter); chosen daughter Tracy Webster; and son Brent Starnes (Amber). She was the proud and loving "Mimi" to her grandchildren: Jackson and Leo Price, Savannah, Layla, Rileigh, and Nathan Starnes, and Bentley and McKenzie Lee. She also leaves behind her beloved "fur daughter," Scooter.
Sue is also survived by her sister Teresa Logan (Rick) and brother Billy Andrews (Sandra).
A very special thanks to Hospice of West Alabama, and her precious caregivers.
Any flowers or items for the family should be delivered directly to the service at Evergreen Baptist Church.
