Sherry Stroup

Sherry Ann Stroup, age 54, of Cottondale, Alabama, passed away January 24, 2025 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be private.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Survivors include her husband, Gregory Stroup; daughters, Shelby and Alyssa Benford; stepdaughter, Rachael Pederson (Alan); stepson, Michael Stroup; brother, Howard Thomas, Jr. (Laresa); mother, Brenda Hall (John), and father, Howard Thomas, Sr.; grandchildren, Max Pederson and Koda Stroup; and her chocolate Lab, Tucker.

Sherry will be missed for her generous heart, contagious laughter, and warm smile. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend to everyone. Sherry was well known for her incredible work ethic, and she always took great care of her work family. She loved football, shopping, cooking for a crowd, and spending time with her family. Her loved ones all know that Sherry is at peace now, likely with her toes in the sand.
