Ronnie Gene Presley

Ronnie Gene Presley, 60, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on April 13, 2026 at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Ronnie was born and raised in Waynesboro, Mississippi and attended Wayne County High School.

Ronnie spent his career working in the oilfield, beginning with Production Well Testing and later retiring from Halliburton. He was known as a hardworking and dependable man who took pride in doing things the right way.

Ronnie had a love for the open road and could often be found riding his Harley with his wild friends, always in search of adventure - and occasionally a little trouble. He was the kind of friend everyone wanted by their side, someone who could be counted on no matter the situation.

In his retirement, Ronnie found joy in the simple things. He spent much of his time at home with his cats and shared countless weekend adventures with his beloved wife, Lynn. She always joked she had to move to Alabama to find a Mississippi man. Together, they were inseparable and truly best friends, enjoying life side by side.

Ronnie was a devoted husband, father and Pawpaw. He loved his grandchildren deeply and had a special way of turning even the smallest moments into lasting memories. To them, he was the perfect Pawpaw.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Holmes Presley; his children, Jessica Presley Tiner (Jeremy) of Buckatunna, Mississippi, Cecelia Presley Quinn (Shane), Cade Presley, Chris Holmes, Josh Holmes (Erica) and Lee Holmes (Mackenzie); his grandchildren, Logan Brehm (Savannah), Miller Holmes, Ava Holmes, and Sawyer Holmes all of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Sister Diane Presley Pippen of Waynesboro, Mississippi, brother Danny R. Presley (Becky) of Millry, Alabama, numerous nieces and nephews, and his partner in crime and best friend Mike Banks.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Percy Elmer Presley and Ruth Alma Nash Presley; his brothers, Walter J. Presley, Jerry O. Presley, and Thomas Presley; and his sisters, Ruthie Presley, Nancy Presley Cooley, and Patricia Presley Cooley.

Ronnie's life will be honored on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Magnolia South Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

Ronnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind. Ronnie was everyone's friend.

In lieu of flowers the family welcomes memorial donations to the American Heart Association in honor of Ronnie.
