Rodney Mitchell Milner

July 1, 1960 – October 30, 2025

Rodney Mitchell Milner, 65, passed away on October 30, 2025.

Rodney was born on July 1, 1960, and spent his life working in the timber industry—a trade he began alongside his father, Ray Milner. Over the years, he owned and operated his own logging business before continuing his work with his nephew. His deep roots in the timber business reflected not only his strong work ethic but also his love for the land and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Kristi Parsons Milner; children Leah Milner Johnson (Scotty), Chad Milner (Kimberly), Mitch Milner (Destiny), Tori Langford Kelley (Hunter); his brother, Mickey Milner (Lynn), sister-in-law; Debbie Milner mother-in-law, Gay Nell Parsons, sister-in-law Debbie Parsons Prestridge, brothers-in-law Jeff Stewart (Jaysa) James Stewart and Lane Parsons; seven beloved grandchildren Cade Simmons, Myla and Brack Johnson, Madison and Brennan Milner, Collin and JoAnna Kelley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Gwen; sisters, Bobbie Winstead and Cynthia Barnette, and his brother Danny Milner, and his father-in-law John Parsons.

Rodney was happiest outdoors—whether he was casting a line while fishing or spending time with his dogs, who were never far from his side. He loved the river life. To know Rodney was to know laughter and light. His infectious laugh and big, genuine smile could fill any room and lift any spirit.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him.
