Rhoda Lynn Marlow Mason, age 77 of Duncanville, Alabama and formerly of Oxford, Ga., passed away on July 14, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama. Funeral services will be held at Magnolia Chapel South in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ray Hallman officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing.
Lynn was born March 15, 1948 in Tuscaloosa, Al. She was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School in 1966. She was first employed in the Statistics Department, Bidgood Hall at the University of Alabama. She had a long tenure with ATT in the Atlanta area retiring there. A post-retirement job in the flooring business kept her busy until her second retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Byron and Rhoda Marlow, brother; Richard (Butch) Marlow, brother-in-law; Mike Allgood, and niece; Amber Woods.
Survivors include husband; Mike Mason, sons; Michael and Matthew Mason and grandson; Connor Mason, sisters; Cherryle Goodwin (Ron) of Fayette; Gale Woods (Larry) of Guntersville; Melissa Marlow of Duncanville and Becky Armstrong, (Richard) of Trinity; and one brother; Danny Marlow of Duncanville, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Lynn dearly loved all her family and extended family and had a very special bond with her four sisters. She also had a very special bond with her only grandson, Connor.
Lynn was a real fighter, having battled cancer for over three years. She impacted the lives of many and will be sorely missed!
Pallbearers are Brad Armstrong, B.J. Armstrong, Heath Armstrong, David Goodwin, Jason McDaniel and Chandler Watson.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Hospice of West Alabama.
