Phillip Dewayne Cook MOUNDVILLE God called his angel Phillip Dewayne Cook home on Sept. 6, 2012, at UAB Hospital at the age of 40. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Randy Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his daughters, Haley Cook and Katie Cook; his son, Austin Cook; his parents, Sonny and Shirley Cook; his sisters, Diane McDaniel (Tony), Sharlene Dean (Wayne), and Crystal James (Richard); and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and brother-in-law, and a friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all. Pallbearers will be Pfc. Michael Mitchell, Adam McDaniel, Josh McDaniel, Tony McDaniel, Richard James, Josh Golden, Wesley Free, and Darrell Wyatt. Honorary pallbearers are all family and friends.
