Patricia Robertson Higdon passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Diversicare Nursing Home in Greensboro, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Greensboro, Alabama on May 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Magnolia Chapel North assisted the family with her final arrangements.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Brady Robertson and Ruth Woolley Robertson and her three sisters, Peggy Massengale (Charles), Barbara Drury (Footes) and Mary Johnson. She is survived by her brother-in-law, John Allen Johnson; nieces and nephews, Dena Prince, Bubba Drury (Anne Burt) Charlie Drury (Barbara), Clint Crawford, Juliet Crawford and Sarah Miller (Mike), her great-nieces and nephews, Mary Elizabeth Garvey (Bradford), Will Prince (Hazel), Grace Prince, Leah Drury, Wallace Drury (Sarah Beth), Jenny West (Jimmy), Brady Drury (Anna), Rachel Fritz (Nick), Shane Crawford, Marlene Miller and Spencer Miller. She also leaves great-great nieces and nephews, Eliza, Caroline, Ford and Grace Garvey, Lily Grace and Hudson West, Oliver and Amelia Fritz, Addison Kate Miller.
Patricia was born on January 31, 1940, in Greensboro. After completing high school at Greensboro High School, she attended the University of Montevallo where she received her undergraduate degree. She taught Physical Education in Nashville, Tennessee for many years before deciding to pursue a career in Nursing. She attended and graduated from the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and thereafter began her nursing career. She worked in various hospitals and other healthcare facilities in Tennessee and Alabama. She returned to her hometown of Greensboro to help take care of her mother. While living with her mother and older sister, Peggy Massengale, Patricia enjoyed gardening and fishing. She renewed old friendships and enjoyed being with her family.
After her mother passed away, Patricia moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She continued to enjoy gardening and met new friends in the Reston Place neighborhood.
Pallbearers are Bubba Drury, Charlie Drury, Mike Miller, Rick Calhoun, Perry Beasley, Clint Crawford.
