Oscar W. Underwood NORTHPORT | Oscar W. Underwood, age 96, of Northport, died February 16, 2014, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Memory Hill Gardens with Pastor Chuck Weaver officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Watts Underwood; parents, John and Hassie Brown Underwood; brothers, Thomas Underwood, Charles Underwood, Johnny Boswell, Robert Underwood and George Brown; and sisters, Nellie Underwood and Lucile Riley. Survivors include his daughters, Betty Shaw (Joe) of Moundville and Charlotte Gregory (Marvin) of Northport; sister, Tressie Polk of Hueytown; grandchildren, Pam Vickers (Wayne) of Alabaster, Kim Milligan (Joey) of Moundville and Scott Gregory (Kim) of Romulus; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Vickers, Will Vickers, Brady Milligan, Max Milligan, Grayson Gregory and Hannah Gregory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Rd., Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.
