Norma Easterwood

Norma Lee Easterwood, age 71, of Tuscaloosa, was called home by her loving Savior on Nov. 7, 2011, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. Tommy R. Easterwood Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow in Magnolia Chapel Mausoleum with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Estelle Kizzire; her sister, Pauline Duncan; her daughter, Vickie Wright; and her son, Mack Easterwood. Survivors include her husband, Tommy R. Easterwood, Sr. of Tuscaloosa; her daughters, Charlotte Crowder (Mike) of Akron and April Pritchett (Kenneth) of Moundville; her son, Tommy R. Easterwood Jr. (Cathy) of Tuscaloosa; her sisters, Francis Leonard, Joan Gurganus, Janice Walker, Linda Hustead, and Renda Jean Jones; her brothers, Wayne Kizzire and Clayton Kizzire; her grandchildren, Amy Collins, Andrew Hedrick, Cade Pritchett, Lauren Wright, Lee Hedrick, Trint Easterwood, and Tyler Gilliam; and three great-grandchildren. If you knew her, you loved her. Our hearts ache to know that she is gone, but rejoice to know that she has been set free. During the time that we had with her, she taught us how to love, laugh, and forgive. Most of all, she let her light shine for Jesus Christ, whom she loved dearly. She was a fine example to live by here on earth and we know that she still lives today in Glory. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of Heritage Health Care, Ruhama Baptist Church members, and Dr. Larry Skelton. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ruhama Baptist Church.
