Mary Anna Fowler Williams, 86, of Greensboro, Alabama passed away on Apr 17, 2020 in Greensboro. Mary Anna grew up in Decatur, GA,  and moved to Greensboro when she and Homer married in 1955. She graduated from from Auburn University in 1954.

Mary Anna served Greensboro both professionally and personally in her career, her church,and her community activities. She enjoyed smocking, sewing, gardening, cooking, girl trips, and playing bridge. One of her proudest moments was all five of her grandsons achieving the Rank of Eagle Scout, of which she was instrumental with her encouragement and support. Mary Anna treasured her family and many friendships. She will be missed by every life she touched and had an impact on. She truly lived her faith and her family rejoices in knowing she is now in Heaven, with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Jerry Fowler, and her sister, Jean Langford.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 64 years, Homer Williams; her four daughters, Anna Lynn Griffin (Bill), Martha Thompson (Richard), Diane Taliaferro (Bryan), Susan Hewitt (John); her grandchildren, William Griffin (Nina), Sean Griffin, John Oliver Thompson, Carson Taliaferro, Mary Cossey Gofer (Lior), Daniel Hewitt, Anna Hewitt; her step grandchildren, Rick Thompson (Tara), Mike Thompson (Laura), Adam (Emily), Bethy T. Allen (Miller); her sister, Martha Kirkland (Jeff); and her great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary Anna's family would like to express appreciation to Dr. Alan Yielding and his staff, Hale Co. Paramedics, and Hale Co. Hospital for their love and precious care.

Due to the Corona virus, we will celebrate Mary Ann's life and legacy when the quarantine has been lifted. War Eagle!
