Mary Verzino

Mary Joyce "Bo" Verzino, of Northport, Alabama, our precious Mama, Nanny and sister, gained her heavenly wings on June 29, 2022 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home while in the care of Amedisys Hospice Care at 83 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nicola Verzino; and her beloved son, Roger A. Lindsey. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Mary Phillips; sisters, Ophelia Cook, Edna Banks; and brothers, J.G. Phillips, Edwin Phillips, Bill Phillips, and Bobby Phillips.

Survivors include her daughter, Jacquelene Lee (Billy Ray); stepsons, David Verzino (Kelly) and Michael Verzino (Melissa); eight grandchildren, Adam Lee (Ashley), Carson Lindsey, Grayson Lindsey, Anna Grace Lindsey (their mother, Pam Lindsey), Grant Verzino, Sarah Verzino, Jack Verzino, and Drew Verzino; sisters, Odessa Townsend, Clara Holcombe (Jimmy), June Rice (Aaron), and Paulene Kuykendal (John); many nieces and nephews; and Pat Faile Lee who had become a constant and faithful caregiver in the last months of Mom’s life.

A private family graveside service will be held at Phillips Chapel Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing.
