Beloved matriarch of the Fourt family, Mary Frances Ellington Fourt, passed away suddenly November 30, 2020. Mary was born January 14th, 1929 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She was one of eight children and was known to her siblings as "Miss Mary." She was graduate of Fort Smith High School in 1947 and wed R. A. .Fourt, Sr. the following year. She was a lover of nature and enjoyed bird watching, camping, gardening, and her special water garden and goldfish. As a painter and prolific poet, she appreciated many artforms and fostered that love in her children. Her unwavering faith was an integral part of her life. She taught Sunday school at different periods through out her life and took joy in sharing her faith. She loved to cook, especially for her family and friends. Her home was always open to visitors and she was always ready to host a holiday get-together. Her family was her whole world. She celebrated each success and comforted every loss. She rarely thought of herself, always putting the needs of her family above all else.

She is preceeded in death by her husband of 57 years, R. A. Fourt, Sr., her son R. A. Fourt, Jr., her parents and several siblings.

She is survived by her sister Jerri Snider, Martinsburg, WV, her son Ralph Fourt, Bella Vista, AR, her daughter Rebekah Wiedower (Jim), Boyce, VA, her son Robert Fourt, Jacksonville, AR, and her daughter Rosemary Klein (Mark), Tuscaloosa, AL, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Private graveside service to be held Thursday, December 3rd, at Williamson Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
