Mary Camille Farris, age 77, of Moundville went to be with her loving parents and Heavenly Father on the morning of September 23, 2026, after an extended illness. The family will have a private service, with the burial taking place at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Hamilton, Alabama.

Mrs. Farris was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Presley Cox; mother, Mazie Lorene (Clay) Cox; and her maternal grandparents, Luther and Mary Emaline Howell Clay.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip Don Farris of St. Joe, Tennessee; daughters, Stephani Mitchell (Casey) of Moundville, Alabama, Christina Hudson, Lisa Bates and Micah Holden (Heath) of North Alabama; brother, Robert Clay Cox; grandchildren, Mary Matie Mitchell, Maci James Mitchell and Kylee Holden; second cousin, Donny Clark (Linda) of Hamilton, Alabama and their children.

Pallbearers will be Casey Mitchell, Jamie Mitchell, Tony Mitchell, Heath Vickery, and Ben Myhan.

Camille was born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Alabaster where she attended Thompson High School and was a member of the 1967 graduating class. She spent the majority of her life as a homemaker and caretaker to her mother, Mazie. She resided in Killen, Alabama, from 1993 until her health declined in 2023. While there, she earned her B.A. in Nursing from UWA. She also met her loving husband, P.D., and they married in 1995. Camille will be deeply missed by her loving husband, P.D.; their adopted daughter, Micah Hamilton Holden; her daughter, Stephani; Casey; their family; and many friends.

Camille was a member of Crestline Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa.

The family would like to thank the loving staff of Moundville Health and Rehab for taking such wonderful care of Camille during her final months. They would also like to thank the staff of Hospice of West Alabama for the care and comfort they provided during this time.
