Martha Nell Barrentine

Martha Nell Barrentine, age 82, of Northport, Ala., passed away on January 15, 2026, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Campground United Methodist Church with Bro. Rick Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the church.

She was preceded death by her husband, Dolphus Samuel Barrentine; son, James Dolphus Barrentine; sister, Fannie Jane Swindle; brother, Brady Junior Simpson; and parents, Samantha and Brady Simpson.

Survivors include her son, Marty Samuel Barrentine (Rita) of Northport, Ala.; brother, James Douglas Simpson of Northport, Ala.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Kyle Holloway (Keli), Anna Nicole Hubbert (Carr), and Christopher Samuel Barrentine (Ellis); great-grandchildren, Kynsleigh Harper Holloway, Easton Ridge Holloway, and Anthony James Hubbert.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Holloway, Samuel Barrentine, Carr Hubbert, Bart Norris, Trace Norris, and Walley McMillian.

Honorary pallbearers are Robert Smalley, Tim Smalley, and Jakey Barrentine.
