In Loving Memory of Marian (Cay) Hamner

[July 4th, 1955] - [August 1st, 2025]

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Marian Cay Hamner, of Northport, AL, who went to be with the Lord August 1st,2025 at the age of 70.

Cay was born on July 4th, 1955, in Tuscaloosa, AL to M.C. and Virginia Gay. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend, known for her kindness, sense of humor, love for others, and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

She is survived by Husband of 51 years Eddie Hamner, Sons Keith Hamner and Chad (Amy) Hamner. Grandchildren, Wyatt, Elaina, Hunter. Brother, Phil (Patsy) Gay, and numerous nieces and nephews, and preceded in death by Parents, M.C. Gay and Virginia Gay.

Throughout her life, Cay found joy in spending time with her family, taking grandkids shopping, and her church (Carrolls Creek Baptist) and left a legacy of her love.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Memory Hill Gardens with Bro. Alan Roggli officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cay's life.

Pallbearers will be Wyatt Hamner, Hunter Hamner, Walt Aaron, Randy Hamner, Woody Hamner, James Bailey, and Jeff Hewitt.

The family wants to thank UAB Neurology/Oncology, Lewis Faye Manderson Cancer Center, Amedisys Home Health, and Hospice of West Alabama for their support and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carrolls Creek Baptist Church and Hospice of West Alabama in Cay's honor.

Though she may no longer walk among us, Cay's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
