Mae Tant

Mae Evelyn Davis Ryan Tant, of Moundville, Ala., died Saturday, May 20, 2017, at her residence in Moundville. Graveside Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville, with Reverend Jason Duckett with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. She was a long-time member of the Moundville Library Board, a Sunday School teacher at several Baptist Churches, a lover of square dancing, and an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Susie Davis; Husbands: William M. Ryan & Joseph G. Tant; Brother Roy D. Davis; and Stepson Joseph E. Tant. She is survived by her sons, William A. "Sonny"� Ryan (Brenda) & Kenneth S. Ryan (Cindy); daughter, Phyllis Ryan; Stepchildren: Cecelia Tant, Robert Tant (Kathy), Jim Tant (Janis), David Tant, and John Tant (Susan); and numerous Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Alilonu, Jasma Dean, CRNP, Virginia Hall, Macon & Edna Beckham, and special Deacon, Tom Daniels. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Moundville Public Library & Moundville Baptist Church Building.
