Louise was born in 1926 to Swan Lindsey and Walter Boothe of Buhl/Coker, Ala. She married the one love of her life, Cledith Marcum, also from Buhl/Coker, Ala. Together they had three daughters, Joyce Louise Marcum, Julie Ann Pruitt, Helen Marie Towl. Louise was a hardworking homemaker that had a great passion and talent for farming, gardening, and especially cooking. After her children were grown, she worked as a nurse's aide for many years where she retired. She became a grandmother of seven. She also had the great fortune of 14 GREAT grandchildren and 10 GREAT GREAT grandchildren. Louise was blessed to live such a long life of 99 yrs, with 34 days left until her 100th birthday. The family has been blessed with five generations since her lineage began almost a 100 yrs ago. Louise was known best as "Maw Maw" or "Maw", not just by her grandchildren but so many others who loved her. No matter who you were, you were always welcome to a meal and a seat on the front porch at Maw Maw's. She found great joy in all visitors and cooking for others. A perfect day for Maw Maw would be to go to Sunday church, cook a hot meal, wait on all her family to gather in for lunch around the dinner table and some front porch sitting with funny stories and kids running around playing.

Louise also had a great love for Jesus. She loved to listen to old gospel music and read her Bible daily. She and her husband Cledith attended Union Grove Baptist Church every Sunday where they were active members for many many faithful years. She was dearly loved and her presence will be greatly missed.
