Louie Stroup

Louie Ronald Stroup passed away on Sep 5, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center.  Services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel South with Bro. Ken Stroup officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at John Town Cemetery in West Blocton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Fletcher and Nettie Malone Stroup, daughter; Norma Stroup, brothers; Douglas Stroup, and Bill Stroup and his sisters; PatsyElliott, Phyllis Watwood, Cathy Payne.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Stroup, daughter; Michelle Stroup, son; George Stroup brothers; Fred Stroup, and Ken Stroup, grandchildren; Tyler Jennings, and Steven Longley, and his great grandchildren; William Jennings and Anna Jennings.

Louie graduated from Holt High School in 1961, he then served in the Army for four years. He worked at Coral Industries from 1978 to 2017 when he retired after 30 years of perfect attendance.

Pallbearers will be Mark Hofstadter, David Banks, George Stroup, Tyler Jennings, Steven Longley, Keonte Barron and Jeff Gladan. Honorary pallbearers are Holt High School Alumni, Holt High School class of 1961, Coral Industries, and the Holt Community.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Alabaster Church of God.
