Joseph R. Tierce

Joseph R. Tierce, 66, of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at Hospice of West Alabama.

Born December 5, 1958 in Tuscaloosa, Joe was known for his huge heart and unforgettable sense of humor. He shared 36 years with his wife, Lisa - a marriage marked by laughter and endless fun. Joe was also a devoted father and a proud 'Pop Pop'. He was a very special man and touched the lives of all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Bernice Tierce, sister; Katherine Tierce, and father in law; Jimmy Harbin.

He is survived by his wife; Lisa Tierce, daughter; Rhegan Snipes (Dylan), granddaughter; Merris Snipes, brother; Tracy Tierce (Donna), and mother in law; Peggy Harbin. Joe also leaves behind a host of additional family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Harbin, Kylar Driggers, Roger Tidmore, Bobby Tidmore, Tracy Tierce, Robbie Tierce, Richard Barger, and Joe Cook.

Honorary pallbearers are Dewayne Sexton, Wayne York, Johnny Grammar, Joe Hughes, Dr. Harrison and staff, Dr. Bilton and staff, and employees of DCH Practice Advantage.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Oak Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Devin Haun, Daryl Harbin officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church - 14415 S Rosser Rd., Tuscaloosa, AL. 35405.
