John Randall "Randy" Harrell

Randy Harrell, 61 of Moundville, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, AL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel South with Joe White, Donnie Floyd, and Royce Brehm officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville, AL,. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Chapel.

He was preceded in death by his father; John Hinton Harrell , son and daughter-in-law Rowdy and Blakley Harrell ,uncle; Robert Harrell, aunt and uncle Wanda ( Lloyd) Jeffers,aunt; Nell ) Hardage, In Laws;  Leon and Lanette Moore, cousins; Steve  and Gary Hardage and special friend Ricky Glover.


Randy is survived by his wife Cindy Moore Harrell, daughters and son -in-laws; Cammie Brown (Fredrick), Rindy Hodges (Danny), mother; Tonia Harrell, sister; Lesly Gannt (Joe) grandchildren; Caimyn Brown,Carsyn Brown,Camryn Brown, Danson Hodges, Daxton Hodges, nephews; Justin Gannt, Gabe Carter (Kalee), nieces; Jakelyn Carter,Jeri Rose Carter,Megan  Savage (Justin).

Randy graduated from Hale County High school in 1978 and married his high school sweetheart  in December of 1979. They were married for forty- two years and were blessed with three children; Cammie, Rindy, and Rowdy. Randy was a proud paw paw to five grandchildren; Caimyn, Carsyn, Danson, Camryn and Daxton. Randy was employed with the Alabama department of transportation for eighteen years then with Phifer wire products for seven years before having to retire on disabilty. He enjoyed all things NASCAR, Alabama Football, hunting, fishing, all music, watching Gunsmoke and spending time with his family.

Pallbearers are Hunter Duncan, Barry Kelley, Scott Jeffers, Justin Gannt, Cody Shultz, Jameson Kelley, Howell Poole, and Steve Duncan.


Honorary Pallbearers include Jack Robinson, Andrew Hedrick, William Fife, Cody Flora, Todd Paris,Zach Holston, Cassandra Duncan, Kacie Duncan, Tony and Brandi Lester, Barry White, Todd White, Craig White, Keith Jeffers, Mack Taylor, Darrell Hughes, Stacie Kelley, Meri Brandon (Tyler) Dement, Bella Lightsey, Gunner Kelley and family of Blakley Lightsey Harrell, Mr. Rick Hendrick and employees of Hendrick Motorsports, Greg Ives,  Alex Bowman, Jacob Conley, Devin Delricco, Dustin Lineback, Allen Stallings, Scott Brzozowski, Dale Earnhardt Jr and employees of JR Motorsports, Justin Allgier, Pete Wright, Phil Poole, Ross Poole, Todd and Brooke Payne, Roger and Lucielle Brown, Danny and Claudine Hodges, Hale County High School class of 1978, all employees of Shelton State Community College. Dr. Mary Margaret Clapp, Dr. Vikram Jala, Dr. Bradley Bilton, Dr. Mahammad Azam, and Dr. Anand Pandey

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Rowdy Harrell Scholarship Fund at the Bank of Moundville.
