Jimmy Joe Harbin, age 79 of Tuscaloosa, went to his Heavenly home on Monday, January 9, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Lewis and Sally Harbin, siblings; Wayne, Rickey, Mary Jane and Glenda.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Harbin, daughter; Lisa Tierce (Joe), sons; Joey Harbin (Julie), Jason Harbin (Krystal), grandchildren; Hali Harbin, Jayci Drake (Trent), Hunter Harbin, Lyndsie Cook (Jake), Rhegan Snipes (Dylan),Hannah Harbin, and Kylar Driggers, great grandchildren; Dean Drake, Emery Ann Harbin, Merris Grae Snipes,Saylor Beck, and Jac Cook, sisters; Judy Burns, Sheila Harbin, and Tammy McLemore, Jimmy also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was a Deacon and active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and employee and Foreman at B.F Goodrich from 1974 to 2002.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Harbin, Kylar Driggers, Dylan Snipes, Trent Drake, Jake Cook, Rickey Harbin, Jr., Josh Freeman and Phil Edmonds.
Honorary pallbearers are George Harbin, Buddy Wyatt, Larry Holifield, Doug Edmonds, David Harbin, Dr. Azam and staff, Dr. Ketona and staff, and employees of B.F. Goodrich between 1974-2002.
Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Oak Grove Baptist Church at 1:00 pm with Albert Lyles and Gene Jordan and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the church.
