Jeanette McCraw Sellers

Jeanette McCraw Sellers, age 85 of Peterson, passed away May 3, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Magnolia Chapel South with Diane Houseler officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She is preceded in death by her husband; A.C. Sellers, son; Jesse Sellers, parents; Bethel and Lewis McCraw, brothers; Thomas McCraw, L.C. McCraw, Ruben McCraw, Bill McCraw, Charles McCraw, Gene McCraw, David McCraw, Robert McCraw, Nathan McCraw sister; Gladys Ryland, and sister-in-laws; Margie McCraw and Shirley McCraw.

Survivors include her daughters; Joyce Turner (Jeff), Sharon Poole (Jeff), Maria Henderson (Larry), son; Terry Sellers, sister-in-laws; Crystal McCraw, Pam McCraw, Lilly Stripling (Odie), Hazel Humphries, grandchildren; Jared Turner, Tony Dickey (Michelle), Jennifer Ryan (David), Justin Henderson (Amanda), Lawrence Henderson, Jr., Jeffery Scott Sellers and 16 great grandchildren.

Jeanette attended Macedonia United Methodist Church. She loved to stay busy and had many hobbies to keep her that way. Among the things she enjoyed was embroidery, gospel music, fishing and camping, watching her favorite tv show Touched By an Angel, and shopping, and loved nothing better than a good sale. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all and will be missed greatly.

Pallbearers will be Jared Turner, Tony Dickey, David Ryan, David Dowling, Dennis Davidson, and Joe Quimby. Honorary pallbearers will be Hospice of West Alabama, Crystal McCraw, Pam McCraw, Vera Smith and family, Christina Quimby and family, Ronnie Davis and Mary Smith.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Hospice of West Alabama, or Druid Hills Food Kitchen.
