With hearts filled with both sorrow and faith, we share that JayShawn Davion Brown Lyons changed his address on July 17, 2026, transitioning from his earthly home to his eternal home with his Heavenly Father. At the age of 23, JayShawn completed his earthly journey after facing Mesothelioma with courage, strength, and grace.
Born on March 16, 2003, in Northport, Alabama, JayShawn is a treasured son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Known to many as Jay and 2X’s, he is remembered for his strong spirit, kind heart, sense of humor, loyalty, and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.
Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. John Baptist Church, located at 20 St. John Drive, Panola, Alabama 35477. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Jay’s life, celebrate the memories shared, and give thanks for the blessing of knowing him. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made via Cash App: $Jannifer34. A portion of all donations will be contributed to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation in Jay’s honor, continuing his legacy by supporting research and bringing hope to others impacted by mesothelioma. For those who prefer an alternative method of giving, such as cash or check, please contact the family for additional donation options.
Although his time on earth was far too short, Jay’s impact continues to live on through the many lives he touched. His memory remains a blessing to his loving parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish the gift of his life
