James Roy Mills TUSCALOOSA James Roy "Tobe" Mills, age 84, of Tuscaloosa, died Feb. 22, 2012, at home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Lewis Johnson and Bro. Jerry Colburn officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Roy and Beulah Mills Sr.; his sister, Sara Hargle; and his brothers, Tom Mills, Johnny Mills, and Cullen Mills. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Frances Mills; special daughter, baby girl Betty Marcum; his sisters, Aline Terry, Carolyn Goodwin (Bill), Mae Frost (Gordon), Kay Fields, and Mary Ruth Howard (Jerry); his brothers, Ben C. Mills, Hallie Mills, and Archie Mills; and several nieces and nephews. He was a loving and caring person, a wonderful husband and brother, and a friend to everyone. He was a hard worker who supported his family and a big Alabama football and NASCAR fan, but most of all, he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. Honorary pallbearers are Northport Medical Center-DCH ICU, Amedisys Hospice and staff and special nurse Brittney Brooks, Dr. Larry Skelton and staff, Dr. Krishnamurthy, DCH Cancer Center, Rosedale Baptist Church, Mary Barnes, Billy and Jackie Redding, and Gary, Betty, and Greg Marcum.
