George was a member of Rose Blvd. Baptist Church. He was a member of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association for 47 years, he served families in and around Tuscaloosa County for all of those years. He loved being a funeral director and would often brag about having the privilege of preparing and burying Paul “Bear” Bryant. He loved his family, always bragging on them especially his grandchildren, he loved to fish, watching his gospel singings on tv as loud as he possibly could, he loved to cook, often sharing with all his neighbors so he could show off his skills, he was an avid Trump supporter and loved to argue politics. He would gladly give you the shirt right off his back, just don’t ask for it.
George touched the lives of many people during his days as a funeral director. He will be greatly missed.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Fred and Laura Graham, Dr Hemstreet, residence of Presbyterian Apartments, Billy and Tammy Gulledge and family, Richard and Janie Jacobs, Barbara Skinner, and the congregation of Rose Blvd Baptist Church.
