Gary Martin Ayers, 68, beloved Husband and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on Sunday, April 19, 2020. He passed peacefully at his home in Northport, AL with his family by his side.

Gary was Born on June 2,1951, in Frankfort, IN, to Lester and Beatrice Ayers. A 1969 Graduate of Tuscaloosa County High, he married his high school sweetheart in 1972, and they had one son. He was a Deacon at Arbor Springs Baptist Church in Northport, AL for many years and also served the community as a Gideon for some time. He loved witnessing to others about his love for Jesus Christ.

Gary is survived by his Wife Shirley Ayers of Northport, AL, A Son Jason (Julie) Ayers of Northport, AL,, one grandson, Cody and one brother. He was preceded in death by his father Lester and mother Bea.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Arbor Springs Baptist Church, Northport, AL. with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home directing. Brother Mike Griffin will be Officiating the service and Pallbearers will be J.D. Overton, David Overton, Wallace Lowery, Jeff Lowery, Glenn Bridges and Doug Koon. Honorary Pallbearers are Ruth Lowery, Francis Brown, Linda Overton, Brenda Bridges, Wanda Koon, Larry and Cathy Leonard and Mark and Cynthia Saunders.

The family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful care given by Dr. J. Brian Wilhite M.D. and the staff of North River Internal Medicine, DCH Home Health and Hospice of West Alabama.
