Fredrick Dixon

Fredrick Austin Dixon, age 81, of Moundville, Alabama, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Magnolia Chapel South. Visitation for guests will be one hour prior to services. Carl Martin and Greg Dixon will officiate the service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Dixon. He is survived by his wife, Marsena Dixon; brother, Don Dixon; and children, Greg Dixon (Cindy), Theresa Moulton (Tommy), Eric Dixon (Kendra), and Ephie Payne (Jamey). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Dixon was the local minister for the church of Christ in Moundville and retired from DCH Medical Center. He often competed in the Senior Olympics and in 2008 at Alabama State University in Montgomery, placed first in eight events and brought home eight gold medals.
