Frances Crow

Frances N. Crow, 88 of Tuscaloosa passed away July 8, 2024 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11:00 am at Magnolia Chapel South with Dr. Gil McKee officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens.

She is preceded in death by her husband Crawford Nixon, Sr. and Robert Crow, her parents and a host of brothers and sisters.

Frances is survived by her son; Crawford Nixon, Jr. (Becky) of Tuscaloosa, brother; Jake Crawford, grandchildren; Ford Nixon of Tuscaloosa, and Case Nixon (Kaitlin) of Tuscaloosa and her great grandchildren; Shiloh and Cruz Nixon also of Tuscaloosa.

Frances loved her Lord with all her heart. She spent many years working with South Central Bell, upon retirement, she spent many years volunteering and giving back to her community. She volunteered countless hours at DCH Hospital, Christian Ministry Center, Temporary Emergency Services, as well as several other local organizations. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa for many years. She was a very active volunteer at her church and served in numerous capacities. She was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Gideons International. She really lived out the Great Commission. We will all miss her, but we can rest in the fact that we will see her again. We are thankful that she has been healed and made whole. 

Pallbearers will be Ford Nixon, Case Nixon, Charlie Ernest, Rex Shanner, Joel Crawford, and David Crawford. 

Honorary pallbearers are her Bible study class from First Baptist, Gideons Women's Auxiliary, Dr. Stephen Browne, The Pioneers, all her neighbors from Wood Manor, Joe Taggart, and Brett Laney.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama or Gideons International.
