Emily Colburn Show Thornton, age 84 of Marion, Alabama passed away October 28, 2026 at Bibb County Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 4, 2026 at 10:00 am at Pondville Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Lavender officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. 

She is preceded in death by her husbands; Thomas Shows and Joe Thornton, her sons; Richard and Robert Shows, parents; Earline and Della Colburn, and brother; Waymon Colburn.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Paul "Benji" Colburn, Elizabeth "Beth" Millwood, Christopher Colburn, and many cousins. 

She was a loving mother and devoted Christian. She spent 25 years taking care of patients at Princeton Hospital. She will be missed by her family. 

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Shows, Milton Aultman, Roy Glenn Aultman, Jimmy Breland, Benji Colburn, and Wade Smith.
