Elbert Leo Deason, age 84 of Centreville, passed away at his home on October 23, 2026. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026 at 10:00 am at Little Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Eoline with Bro. Ken Gamble officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; Carver and Dulcie Deason, siblings; Ann Deason, Mickey Deason, Rod Deason, Barbara Cox, Perry Collins, Billy Ray Gamble; daughter, Kecia Hedwall and granddaughter, Shayla Ballenger.

Survivors are his daughters; Brenda Kaye Dunkin (LaVaughn) , Pamela Howell, sisters; Frances McGee, Joyce Collins, Margaret Bailey, Fran Deason, brothers; Louie Deason (Janice), William Deason (Sandy), Henry Cox, Lamon Turner; grandchildren; Hunter Howell, Heather Howell, great grandchildren; Kaden Howell, Joy Toxey, Jon, Julia; and many nieces and nephews.

Elbert was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
