Doris Jenkins Lindsey

Doris Jenkins Lindsey, 85 of Tuscaloosa, passed away peacefully at Hospice of West Alabama, where she had been cared for during her final weeks. After a courageous year-long battle with cancer she entered her eternal home in Heaven, reunited with her beloved husband and cherished family members who went before her.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Gaythor Lindsey, parents; Carlos and Lorene Jenkins and sister; Joanie Files.

Doris is survived by her sons; Randy Lindsey (Tracy), Darrel Lindsey (Karen), sister; Joyce Anderson (Charlie), brother; Ralph Jenkins (Joanne), grandchildren; Mary Walker Lindsey Leonard (Michael), Alex Lindsey (Ashleigh), Payne Lindsey and her great grandchildren; Brooks and Bryson Leonard and Wells Lindsey.

Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great -grandmother, and a dear sister. She was known by many as a powerful prayer warrior whose unwavering faith and devotion to the Lord touched countless lives. Her strength, grace and kindness were a testimony to all who knew her.

A dedicated stay-at-home mom, Doris poured her heart into raising her boys, faithfully attending their ballgames, supporting their activities, and guiding them with love. She found joy in the simple- things, spending time with her family, being with friends, and worshipping with her church family. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and her circle of influence stretched far beyond her home, leaving a lasting legacy of love and prayer.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find peace in knowing she is now in the presence of Jesus, healed and whole. We rejoice in the hope of Heaven and give thanks for the beautiful life she lived and the many lives she touched.

Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel  South with Rev. Leon White officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The family will hold a private burial.
